Gharyan Stoneware Handmade Casserole & Serving Dish
Anyone for Paella! The beautiful Gharyan Stoneware dishes are just perfect for al fesco dining. Rounded, organically shaped dinnerware, handmade by local Tunisian artisans and designer-inspired, the Gharyan collection is special and unique, defined by its matte finish.
These handsome stoneware dishes are naturally able to maintain even temperatures, both during and after the cooking process. Scorch that may alter flavour is prevented, dessert and cold soups are kept cold, and warmth is maintained in soups and stews.
Sourced from the Cap Bon peninsula in Tunisia, Gharyan Stoneware starts it's life as pure, mineral-rich clay fed by the azure depths of the Mediterranean sea. As an area steeped in the deeply ancient tradition of pottery, expert craftsmen have lived for generations among the citrus, roses, vines and jasmines in the gardens of Cap Bon, passing down thousands of years of pure artistry, hand-to-hand, to the artisans that continue to create our stoneware pieces today.

USE & CARE
Heated to temperatures exceeding 1200°C, our stoneware dinnerware is naturally resistant to heat and shattering, can be put in microwave ovens and dishwashers.
However, it is important to take this into consideration: Oven use: Since stoneware is a fragile material, we recommend special attention when using it in the oven. We do not offer any guarantees. Extreme and rapid changes in temperature could cause thermal shock and crack the stoneware dish. Avoid placing the hot stoneware unit directly on a cold counter, use trivets. Never place your stoneware dish on the grill or directly under an open flame or heating element. Do not preheat your stoneware dish and do not place it in a wet oven. The use of utensils can leave traces on the dishes (this does not mean that the paint comes off), however, there are simple ways to remedy this: Use a damp cloth with baking soda, cream of tartar or scouring powder and scrub to remove these marks (We recommend the Bar Keepers Friend product)
